Did it before when a couple was arguing next to me while I was belaying someone and couldn’t move. They fucked off pretty fast.

I would sing baby shark loudly. I shut up when they shut up. And I can belt.

Even in more progressive areas boys are socialized differently. I’ve been in a field where I see early childhood until middle school for years now. And girls, from the beginning, and raised more strictly. They have more care in their clothes, their meals, and the skills they are taught. They rarely fight, and if they do, it’s not on impulse. My theory on why people often say “boys are easier” is because they absolutely neglect them. So the onus is on 3rd parties to often teach them basic skills and rule following, to control their impulses, etc. Even in K-5, boys are the ones who are telling their teachers to fuck off, leaving the buildings without permission, fighting, etc. Parents blame the teacher/staff, if they are present at all, and antisocial behavior gets rewarded again and again.

Some are obviously irritated at my presence. Like, sorry for existing. I’m just your supervisor, so I have to teach you shit for you to grow and make more money.

Very boomer/wife bad/facebook meme. Surprised to see it here.

Right? I don’t directly fire people but I am someone who has the delightful task of giving verbal warnings and write-ups that lead to firings, and doing so always sucks ass even though it’s warranted.

It all started as a teenager, when older guildmates in wow would vent about their marriage, job, bills….

I have definitely leaned into it. I’m 39 and I could go out and try to date etc. But in the past years I’ve reclaimed myself, and my mental health is better, and I have a house, and genuine friends, and the list goes on….so anyways I’ll just stay here in this peaceful space.

It’s weird to me that all the outlets are going with “model scout” instead of “trafficker”.

Given who the fathers generally are in teen pregnancy, this also feels like them trying another avenue to legitimize pedophilia.

Yeah it wouldn’t be a bad response at all in a healthy relationship context. I wish all partners could give each other the same respect. I like the response, just not the frame.

I’ve had a partner criticize my video game time before. They didn’t want to spend more time with me though, they just didn’t like that I was talking to other people online. I’ve also had a partner spend 90% of their free time online and ignore our relationship. What I find most interesting about the meme however is that any time it comes up it’s always the female partner giving the ultimatum, and I do not think that is a coincidence, I think it’s shaping a perception, and rage bait.

Last week I asked for a raise. I have never done that before. I asked for way more than I thought I would get. Anyways, they gave me a little less than what I asked for, but they did give it to me! I was really surprised, and glad I didn’t have to job hop.

It happened early. My lovely supervisor was the only one in the building. The smell was so strong from the back door that the fire dept literally ran over from the station nearby. They said the building was at something like 26% concentration in one area and could have exploded and immediately evacuated her. I can’t get over how surreal that seems. It was intensely strong when I arrived but at that point they said we were allowed to go back in (seems crazy because the smell was still so strong). Apparently someone crashed a car into something behind the building over night (cars don’t go there) and caused it to build up to this point slowly. Alls fixed and no one hurt but…yeah.

I told her it all reminded me of the opening scene of a drama between a medical personnel and a firefighter.

As in go to the castle to fight the final battle. After hours of running around questing and occasionally just exploring aimlessly, I feel like that capstone ends the fun. Anyone else do this?
