I guess that's fair to say, but doesn't mean he's right.

For example, the legislation would amend Section 44 “to remove the Public Service Commissioner’s duty to develop a workforce that reflects societal diversity”.

That seems like a good thing to have in the Public Service? I mean I'd love to see proof that any old unqualified person off the street are getting public service jobs because of their race or gender? Allowing for diversity isn't the same as hiring unqualified applicants, considering they are serving a diverse public.

Winston as usual showing his true colours. Why the hell should we follow the US?

Nicola Willis should really lose her job. The Hyundai execs must be laughing at them behind closed doors.

At least it's not an AI image of a horse!

Peters, telling reporters he did not need to consult Christopher Luxon on the sacking, said "I made him the prime minister".

Seymour and Winston are the ones really running the show aren't they.

The comment Goff made was not worth firing him at all. Highly doubt it would have even made it on Trump's radar.

There may be an argument to award him one posthumously if he can somehow take control of Air Force One while Musk, Vance and RFK Jr. are onboard and crash it directly into Putin.

Damn you're probably right, He's been taking back the classified documents seized from Mar-a-lago a couple years ago. Who knows what else they're taking as well.

So when do we start placing bets on when Trump starts sending weapons to Russia?

ICANN or IANA manages country code top level domains, I don't think it's owned by the government. InternetNZ is the trustee for the .nz domain.

From wikipedia:

IANA is responsible for determining an appropriate trustee for each ccTLD. Administration and control are then delegated to that trustee, which is responsible for the policies and operation of the domain. The current delegation can be determined from IANA's list of ccTLDs.[3] Individual ccTLDs may have varying requirements and fees for registering subdomains. There may be a local-presence requirement (for instance, citizenship or other connection to the ccTLD), as, for example, the American (us), Japanese (jp), Canadian (ca), French (fr) and German (de) domains, or registration may be open.

Man what is wrong with people. Why can't they just leave other people alone, they're just trying to be happy in their own skin.

look at his stupid face after he does it, he knows what he's doing.

Hopefully this is allowed!

I found it pretty interesting, Sir Peter Beck's insights into the space industry seem very "down-to-earth" and realistic.

I'm reading them in the author's recommended reading order and I'm currently up to The Vor Game. While the first Cordelia books are decent the Miles books are real page turners so far. So if you were put off by the cheesy looking covers like me, give them a go!

Pretty happy with our choice to move here 6+ years ago. For all the shit it gets, Hamilton is a pretty nice place to live. I think it's only going to get busier in the coming years, especially once projects like the Ruakura Super Hub gets completed.

On March 18, 2022, scientists at the Concordia research station in the east Antarctic recorded the largest spike in temperature ever recorded with the region experiencing a rise of 38.5C above its seasonal average.

Unfortunately, it's not an isolated event with an increasing number of meteorologic anomalies being reported on the continent in the past two years.

The sea level rise map that was linked is interesting, I propose Hamilton to be the new international airport since both Auckland and Wellington's will be underwater

Sorry, I had to share as it's been stuck in my head since yesterday.

I see it's based on the book by Hugh Howey, who also did the Silo series which I really enjoyed the TV adaptation of. I'm wondering if it's any good as I don't have a lot of time for starting too many TV shows at the moment.
