About as much as I trust the yanks.

That's nearly every company making image generation AI right now. Stealing from creators is all the rage, and I've yet to see a reasonable defense of this by AI users.

I don't think this thread is helping.

An article about Kagi's leadership, uncontroversially titled "Why I lost faith in Kagi." If anyone has updates to add here, good or bad, I'd appreciate it.

Between the absolute blase attitude towards privacy, the 100% dedication to AI being the future of search, and the completely misguided use of the company's limited funds, I honestly can't see Kagi as something I could ever recommend to people.

...and I'm surprised this quote doesn't mention the CEO, considering what the blog post has to say about him.

I wouldn't take a cybertruck if it was free

You're being ridiculous, why would you seriously think that? That kind of internet opinion doesn't hold up in real life. I would absolutely take a free Cybertruck, I've long dreamed of making my own car bomb.

My bad, you're right. I tried to check first, but I didn't have the patience to scroll past her claiming America Is So Back because "Starbucks kicked homeless people out of bathrooms," so I ended up not seeing the reposted tweet.

She lies, runs away from OSFM, gets community noted, and still, in the replies:

Um, this is 100% TRUE and WOKE Oregon seems to be covering for WOKE California. Leftists stick together.

There are many people whose work and ideas I deeply respect, but even in my weakest moments, I couldn't possibly idolize them like this useless waste of oxygen does gargling on Trump's ballsack every day.

Because I'm a horrible person, I can foresee that there's zero chance I'll die before doing something monumentally stupid. My greatest shame is realizing it probably won't be as effective as what Luigi did.

BG3 might not be a healthy reference for videogame development for different reasons, but it's definitely remarkable how nothing has made me less excited for ES6 than Starfield.

I can't predict how long it'll take until it releases, but I'm doubtful it could be enough to fix whatever mess is already making its way through production—if they even planned to fix it, that is.

This a shitpost in a humor community, so I'm probably over thinking it... But from the very first time I saw that text, it felt a bit like a heterosexual man joking that his dick would fix a lesbian. Not a huge fan. This version with an anime background somehow makes it worse.

Don't worry, cheaper solar panels, electric cars and entrepreneurs will save humanity. And by humanity I mean a specific share of the world's developed nations. Discourse on this frustrates me to an unhealthy degree.

If you promote techno-fetishism laden, borderline tech-bro driven or shitass bill gates financed media, please reply so I may wish upon your remaining bloodline an everlasting mildly inconvenient curse.

And if you like Kurzgesagt tech videos, please reply so I may respectfully call you a fucking donkey.

Fun requires being alive, requires money, requires work, demands time. Getting fun can get complicated. There isn't a true answer to this conundrum as far as I know—not an inspiring one, at least. Makes me think about what human life is supposed to look like.

I think one of the biggest reasons is that the Fediverse is often a pain to get into and sometimes a pain to use.

Bluesky and Threads "just work."

Some people say it's marketing and in Threads' case I can believe it, but I haven't seen any example of large marketing campaign by Bluesky.
