Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

I don't know a single person voting Nats but my gut feeling is they will get it. And likely not by a huge margin, meaning Nat-Act govt likely.

ITT no discussing why X should or shouldn't be in, just your predictions.

Also, is it illegal to bet on elections?

How the fuck is this legal??

More realistically though,

Press TV's Telegram comments on claims by Israeli media: "All surrounding areas of Gaza retaken, no clashes now taking place with Hamas"

Maybe Hamas will wait with the hostages, knowing that the most hawkish Israelis will advocate further violence. At this point Hezbollah might join.

edit: t.me is a shortened URL for Telegram links, some posts are visible without the need to install telegram.

I just skimmed through the leaflets and realized they got almost as many as lab/nat.

Who do they think they're fooling?

This is why we need 3-waters reform. The ones who oppose this (National/Act voters included here) are the ones directly responsible for the vertical climb in local and regional rates we can expect over the coming years.

Rosier Burgers has closed. Local joint I only heard about recently moving to the area but saw it being recommended in various places. Tough business at the moment.

On my lunch break I went to the nearest shopping centre to vote. I was the only person in the place under the age of 70.

People complain that the government isn't radically overhauling our entire economy and society, this is the reason for that.

The cost to Wellington City Council for the strengthening and redevelopment of the Town Hall – one of the most complex construction projects in Aotearoa – is projected to increase by between $70 million and $147 million from its current completion cost of $182.4 million.

Picked up and older but excellent condition Giant Reign for my son - was a seriously expensive bike in its day, so it has fully adjustable everything.

I stripped down the rear shock to get some rust kill on the spring - no issues there. But, I wanted to reset the rates to stock. Stupidly, I backed the rebound damping adjuster all the way out - it's popped off whatever ratchet it was on in there, and the damping is now stuck at full. I can get the adjuster back in, but it's not reengaging with whatever it's supposed to.

Usually when I break shit, YouTube has the answer. Not this time! Any tips from the experts?!

I have no idea how Sanitarium thought what they were doing was ok and that they would get away with it after the supermarket investigation by comcom and the cost of living crisis being the biggest election issue.
