So many people will opt to continuously rent instead of buying though. They think they are too poor to buy so will mortgage their entire future to all the subscriptions they willingly pay billionaires for. Need to go back to a cash economy when credit was hard to obtain because the way it is now those corporations have convinced people that they need everything all the time even if they can't afford it and that the corps will give them credit (indentured servitude) in exchange for all the disposible stuff. I realize that houses are out of reach for many people under 40 however the amount of disposible stuff they can finance (not own) compared to what people 25 years ago could finance is mind boggling.

I hear of more and more young women who are foregoing relationships and one big reason is the pornification of sex. It seems that no one born into the always online porn generation has real old fashioned sex anymore. It's all porn mimicry. And not surprisingly, the majority of women don't enjoy it since most porn isn't about women's enjoyment but their degradation and pain.

I loved watching the kids in our neighbourhood go from parents carrying them around all the way to teens wondering if they could still dress up and run around like the kids they still were in their hearts. My kids are tall and got a lot of flack once they reached adult height even though they were only 12.

If the rest of the population is exposed to ICE and other federal agents, it's good to have those agents exposed to the general population. And now might be a time to remind all federal agents that the law may start to apply against them again after Nov 3rd for any of their illegal actions on Trump's behalf.

No one who earned minimum wage was owning homes. There were far more ft salary jobs with opportunities for advancement when the Silent Generation and then the Boomers hit adulthood. Most of those jobs included training so it wasn't expected that everyone have a degree, masters, red seal and work experience before being hired.

I'm glad I dated in the 80s. Murder rate was much higher but we didn't live in fear because there wasn't a social media algorithm telling us to be afraid of everything.
