Electrocuted

He survived

Pick one.

Honestly, knowing what I know about injuries from voltages like that, I'd rather die than survive it.

Honestly looks like something from a cheesy superhero. Poor man, but fascinating image.

While we're at it, also wasn't electrocuted if they survived. I know it includes severe injury, but the 'cuted' part comes from 'execution'.

This is true. Im curious about the circumstances, a 14kv arc flash very very easily could have killed him.

Gee I wonder who’s alt this is…

Who cares if it gets reposted here though? If you have such a problem with reddit then why are you over there so often that you can identify which Lemmy posts are coming from there? Seems pretty hypocritical.

When people are running an ai powered repost bot network to add three hundred shit posts a day it’s an issue.

[-] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Can you actually explain why "it's an issue?" What exactly makes this post "shit" and how is it harming Lemmy?

They make great points that Lemmy needs content in order to exist and most people aren't submitting content themselves, so where is it supposed to come from? It sounds like they've actually figured out a sophisticated way of filtering out actual issues like seeing the same content here over and over or posts violating community rules or being irrelevant to community topics, so what is left to be upset over?

The only things you've mentioned thus far are "billionaires' social media," which you seem to be frequently using yourself (and conveniently glossed over from my last reply) and "AI," but this isn't some LLM hallucination or fake content (actual issues), it's an automated tool to filter and share content that was made popular by people on a separate website.

If you don't have a problem with it that's fine.

Well you seem to be on a crusade here and I've ironically seen you reposting these screenshots multiple times.

Because Lemmy doesn't have nearly the same level of bots/ai accounts literally dredging up comment chains that are 1) deleted and 2) decades old. This means that someone can repost something from reddit, then train AI on the very real (and new) human being responses as opposed to whatever inane bot threads that spawn on reddit these days. More accurately they can refine what they've already trained on reddit against these new responses.

That's one problem. Another is that reddit sucks and if you want Lemmy to be reddit 2 you can fuck right off back to reddit (or facebook, or x, or whatever).

[-] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 0 points 23 hours ago

I don't see how anything you've mentioned is relevant to this situation. What would even be the motivation to have bots writing comments here? Karma isn't tracked, the place isn't owned by a corporation, and there's zero money to be made from it.

Another is that reddit sucks and if you want Lemmy to be reddit 2 you can fuck right off back to reddit

This is a hilarious comment considering Lemmy is modeled to be exactly like a decentralized version of reddit. What are you doing here if this format sucks so bad?

[-] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

I'm not surprised a mass effect enjoyer is willfully obtuse

[-] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

Willfully obtuse in what way? You can't even describe how anything you've said is in any way relevant here and immediately result to insults and fanboyism over video games and social media. How ridiculous.

Definitely could be, but I think a lot of us also saw this picture at least a decade ago.

Cool, so why does it get reuploaded now? Is it because it just got reposted to reddit?

You know who could shine a light on this being bot post? OP

If they don't comment however, it should give you the answer.
