I'd bet my next paycheck they were riding their fucking horn the whole way through the tunnel until that happened.

she had honked the car's horn in the tunnel for her kids - as driver's often do

I was waiting with bated breath for something to become apparent that the driver was being a typical arrogant driver... was not disappointed.

Some of the rest of the story is bizarre.

"We had sunglasses on and things....."

Huh?

The family continued driving out of the tunnel before heading home and contacting police.

So the windscreen did exactly as it was supposed to, despite the additional safety eyewear!

They should give her a ticket for unnecessary use of a warning mechanism...

They absolutely should. And look reeeally hard for the rock thrower.

"it amuses my spawn"

It really annoys me that nobody ever gets a ticket for that, it's so obnoxious.

Its a classic through that tunnel throughout the decades . But after regularly walking through as a teenager back in the day, the horns are painful as much as obnoxious and I never do it myself if driving. People do seem to do less of it saying that these days. I’d doubt as well that someone could target a car because it beeped with the speed they move through and the height of the walkway. Is the journo connecting the dots ? Unless she had the horn on the whole way through and the thrower lined them up as they came . Who knows.

There's talk of noise enforcement for both racers but this would be a lot easier in that we know exactly where it'll occur.

I can't imagine the police are interested in either issue, however.

I guess it's good the driver didn't lose their shit into oncoming traffic - that would've been tragic!
