Id like to "zip" both sides of a portable external hard drive case with a drive inside and its connector cord (external drive port to USB-C) protruding out.

Its to keep the drive safer or cushion the fall if it falls accidentally.

One More Try

—George Michael

For me, I basically had one of my darkest moments in life sitting in a McDonalds booth when this played on the radio. Nothing to do with relationships or anything like that

I know you can do it by doing all the permutations of 1-9999 but what is the simpler way?

Seriously, even if you sort by Creation or Modifcation Dates, it only roughly does it, same with sort by File Size.

It refuses to sort by the rule or whatever option you choose like that. Does it fine on iPhone/iOS...

It just sorts them alphabetically all the time within whatever the larger rule is

Sort of abacus-like but its not really for counting, probably helps with developing motor skill

I dont want to read the whole Edward de Bono course/series/book on it, lets get quick and dirty with it ;)

Only thing I can think of i stumbled onto recently is questioning whether the information provided matches up with a question/request.

For example: i read about FAANG companies having those tricky thinking problems that dont have anything to do with computer science or computers like "How many screws does an airplane need"

I think the "answer" is "it depends on the type/model/company", theres not one answer like the question is trying to corral/pidgeonhole you into, especially since its a high-pressure/time-sensitive context where you have to answer basically right away, cant "look into it" as an acceptable intermediate answer (i believe)

Dont care if its paid or foss, I just want something that is intuitive and aesthetic if possible but that can help make sense of stuff

Hopefully really brings timelines and dates to life/alive! :)

It can still have positive and negative lingering effects but focus on the big picture for a moment

For me:

  • the opposite of having established redundant measures for safety kills. My finances have been improving since I plan for the worst and overestimate my liabillities while underestimating potential inflows

Not sure if its a neurodivergent thing but I often want to "turn off" or completely darken the monitor without actually pulling the power.

catch { dont want to just do sound and the tv is left to its boilerplate/ad-dled idle nonsense }

I like how on certain devices if you have low power mode on and you AirPlay, it goes completely dark after a moment, I'd like to something like that but for computer. Sort of like a non-screensaver screensaver that doest lock or anything but lets me recreate when TVs used to let you turn of the display

Before the 12th amendment, the presidential candidate who got the second most electoral votes became the vice president. This meant they were usually different parties.

It occurred to me that one thing this achieved was always ensuring that there was someone in the room who would be willing to disagree with the president. He couldn't surround himself with yes-men.

I remember my old psychiatrist had something like this and it worked great in an even more pin-droppy ambient environment.

I've non-googled this, but everything in the results is so 'slop' that it hurts to read. The only halfway helpful result was apple's page for developers, but I was curious if one has to use their xcode/swift environments.

It's said the guy hasn't been publicly seen/perceived in six months. All the while this somehow isn't the absentee issue history typically expects.
