Just signed a contract today. Software Engineering Manager. My second attempt at the managelment ladder. Last time i did this the company was out of NZ in 18months, kinda hoping lightning doesnt strike twice!

Congrats! I went off the idea of managing staff quite some years ago. Hopefully you will enjoy it! (and hopefully it won't lead to the company fleeing the country this time)

Could also be correlation... Companies that make poor hiring decisions, or hire too many people, might be more likely to go out of business...
