Welcome to this week’s casual kōrero thread!

This post will be pinned in this community so you can always find it, and will stay for about a week until replaced by the next one.

It’s for talking about anything that might not justify a full post. For example:

Something interesting that happened to you
Something humourous that happened to you
Something frustrating that happened to you
A quick question
A request for recommendations
Pictures of your pet
A picture of a cloud that kind of looks like an elephant
Anything else, there are no rules (except the rule)

So how’s it going?

Just signed a contract today. Software Engineering Manager. My second attempt at the managelment ladder. Last time i did this the company was out of NZ in 18months, kinda hoping lightning doesnt strike twice!

Congrats! I'm in a similar position but not so far as having the contract signed yet.

Congrats! ☺️ Let me know if you are after any full stack engineers in the near future! I'm about 6 years in and looking to take my career to the next step. I specialize in .net and backend data flow

Congrats! I went off the idea of managing staff quite some years ago. Hopefully you will enjoy it! (and hopefully it won't lead to the company fleeing the country this time)
