This is what Mission BBQ is like, but add in the guilt trip to buy a $3 plastic drink cup "for the troops". And the barbecue is not good. It's not inedible or anything, it's just that everything (including the sides) is loaded with sugar.

I feel bad for people that don't have access to good Barbecue.
As someone who lives in 1 of those areas and visited Texas once 3 years ago I agree... I never had bbq ever like that before. Thats all we did for 3 days straight, bbq, brewery, bbq, brewery, concert festival at night. Best trip I had in a long time.
I have direct access and make it myself, you might find some better but way cheaper from ho,e

It's been ages since I've set foot in a bbq restaurant because of this.

Back in my day, an entree in these places wouldn't break the bank, and would send you home with leftovers every time.

They are two different parts of the brisket. The "moist" is from the point which is fattier than the "lean" flat.

There's a bandannas bbq in town and I can get at least twice that amount of food for only $49.99
I mean the math does work out. Picture is $25, twice the amount of food for $50 is literally the same
Have you been to private equity burger? It's worth the mortgage.
Pickles? In this economy?
There haven't been a ton of bright spots moving back here to the south, but plenty of good bbq places is one of them.
